An RBT is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a board certified behavior analysis (BCBA). The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior analytic services outlined by the BCBA. The RBT does not design intervention or assessment plans.

RBT credential became a requirement

Many Medicaid providers may have received a letter from insurance giant Magellan Healthcare noting a significant change in that they will require all Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) support staff to be Registered Behavioral Technicians™ (RBT). The letter specifically states:

“Your staff must hold a RBT™ credential or a state-issued license, certificate or other designation as a behavior technician no later than Sept. 30, 2016, to treat Magellan members.”

What will you learn?

This training course teaches evidence-based behavior intervention techniques and strategies for individuals including but not limited to: Data Measurement, Assessment, Skill Acquisition, Behavior Reduction, Documentation and Reporting, Professional Conduct and Scope of Practice. The training will cover all of the tasks and subtasks in the RBT Task List and the ethics requirements that have been designated as being relevant for behavior technicians.

Built-In Accountability

Our system monitors each lesson. Before a course completion certificate is issued, a review of each lesson is performed. If the user has not sufficiently views each lesson, the course completion certificate request is denied. Users can then revisit the incomplete lesson. This ensure each learn spends the required time on each lesson.
