An RBT is a paraprofessional who practices under the supervision of a board certified Behavior Analyst.
The RBT’s primary responsibility is to implement treatment plans designed and developed by a supervising Behavior Analyst.
The Registered Behavior Technician™ (RBT) is a great step in introducing the technology of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to a non-certified audience like educators or parents. Many educators and parents working with BCBAs are often confounded by the terminology and concepts of ABA (e.g., functions of behavior, reinforcement, etc.)
This is an opportunity to inform the people whom you work with, that there is a resource that they can access at their own pace, in the comfort of their own home or office, that will provide them with the basic education to be able to carry over the work you are doing with them in the classroom or home setting.
The training is also a great opportunity to advance the careers of teaching assistants or people who work with individuals with Autism but do not have college degrees. Or, for family members needing state-of-the-art strategies for helping loved one.
"I finished the training! Thank you very much for the program and for answering all of my questions. The Verbal Behavior Institute has been great.."
